Established in 1985, "Yantaringa Park" is a family venture owned by Sue and Ray Dearing. Due to the fact that movement and conformation, combined with bloodlines, are critical to me (Sue), I found it necessary to travel to the USA. I went three times altogether looking at different horse farms. The Nationals and the event are good places to look at different horses as you are looking at the countries best. I met some lovely people whom I still keep in contact with.

My husband and I eventually imported our four stallions and broodmares. We selected for movement, conformation and refinement. At Yantaringa Park we are always striving to breed quality. We have made the commitment to breed horses that are as close to perfect as can possibly be. We only breed to select mares and we only breed a few quality foals a year. All our horses are registered AMHA and MHAA and are DNA tested.

I recently attended the International Miniature Horse Conference in Belgium - Brussels. This was a most invaluable experience for me furthering my knowledge of the Industry. Whilst in Brussels I also successfully completed my Judges Examination enabling me to judge Miniature Horses throughout Australasia.

Yantaringa Park is located in South Australia. Slightly larger than Texas, South Australia has a climate similar to California. Our population is only 1.4 million, 1 million of whom live in our capital city, Adelaide.

Yantaringa Park recently moved from Port Lincoln to Australia's premier wine region - the Barossa Valley in South Australia.

Situated only one hour drive from Adelaide, South Australia's capital, the Barossa Valley is a region rich in history, heritage and culture.

Although the region is best known for its premium wines, it is also a region renowned for its festivals, recreational activities and romantic settings, providing the ideal getaway.

Lush vineyards that spread across the valley are host to a combination of wineries, small churches and historic buildings reminiscent of those who settled the Barossa. The well-preserved heritage of the region has been a catalyst for arts, crafts, antiques and food and wine festivities. Over 100 different events are held every year welcoming visitors from around the world, including the Biennial Barossa Vintage Festival, Gourmet Barossa, Barossa International Music Festival, Barossa Under the Stars and the spectacular Balloon Festival.

With a wide selection of accommodation and warm hospitality, staying in B&B's, which overlook vineyards or hotels nestled in the valley hillsides, a night in the Barossa will enhance the whole experience.

Bushwalkers can be treated to a rich variety of native Australian flora and fauna found in the Kaiser Stuhl Conservation Park, Hale Conservation Park and Warren Conservation parks. A section of the Heysen Trail, one of the world's great long distance hiking trails, traverses through parts of the Barossa.

An early morning bike-ride or hot-air ballooning over the valley, followed by a variety of cellar door wine tastings and lunch in one of the numerous restaurants or cafes offering delicious local gourmet foods, is one of the ways to spend a day in the Barossa.

The beautiful Barossa Valley has something for everyone, experience it for yourself!
