One of the premier foundation sires Orion Light Vant Huttenest has helped to shape today’s American Miniature Horse and here in Australia has been a proponent stallion that stamps his stunning good looks, conformation, attitude and colour on his numerous offspring. This legendary stallion has produced more than 30 Nationals Champions including 7 Nationals Grand Champions, 3 Reserve National Grand Champions, 15 National Champions and 10 Reserve Nationals Champions.

With his unique looks… slightly dished small head with lovely kind big eyes, his neck was set upon the shoulders high like the modern Shetlands of today. He was very refined for a miniature horse; in proportion he mimicked the taller cousins of other breeds. This was the stallion that Vern Brewer chose to mould his miniature herd into the modern beautiful miniatures so sought after today.

The legacy of his modern look has passed onto his National Champion sons and daughters across the world. Even in his twilight years the delightful little fellow pictured opposite still cut a fine figure.
